BTI Expander-Compacter Kit
[Show Details]
Product Details: NEW BTI EXPANDER-COMPACTER KIT
BTI presents its new expander and compacter kit with four short and four long pieces, a starting drill, connecter, and a ratchet wrench adapter. This kit provides a solution for bone expansion and compactation situations of the upper and lower jaws, particularly the posterior areas of the upper maxillary in patients with restricted mouth opening.
These eight elements are marked with the same depth marks, which serve to control the height of the alveolus being generated. Compacters and expanders are numbered from one to four, indicating their progressively larger apical and coronal diameters, each of which corresponds to an equivalent number.
These elements are designed to produce progressive fracture of an atrophic alveolar crest and can be used in all types of bone. The last expander used is the BTI implant. In the compactation of maxillaries with type IV bone, compacters make it possible to insert implants without drilling because compactation progresses as we increase compacter caliber, thus achieving the primary stability necessary for each implant.

BTI Apex
[Show Details]
Product Details: THE BTI APEX: WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT?
One distinctive feature of the BTI implant system is undoubtedly its self-tapping apex, the most notable features of which are a helicoidal shape, small surface area, and large perimeter. This design prevents apical compression, which can lead to ischemia and necrosis.
The large apex perimeter offers a large osseointegration surface. The conical-helicoidal shape eliminates the need for preliminary tapping and enhances the advancement of the implant. The bone is shifted toward the lateral hollows as the apex enters. This design makes it possible to achieve good primary stability, even in low quality bone.
It is noteworthy that in situations where we are working close to delicate anatomic structures, such as the maxillary sinuses or alveolar canals, this apex makes it possible to insert the implant a little deeper than the drilling depth without structural risk.
In addition, its anatomic design allows implant insertion in atrophic, markedly resorbed maxillary bone. It is used ideally in combination with BTI expanders, producing controlled expansions and enabling implants to be inserted even in 2-mm wide crests.

INTERNA
[Show Details]
Product Details: INTERNA UNIVERSAL PLUS PLATFORM IMPLANT FROM BTI
The main features of this implant are his anatomical design, the presence of a polished 0.5 mm neck and a self-tapping apical part which provides this implant with outstanding penetration properties. The Interna? implant with the Universal Plus Platform exhibits an improved biomechanical behaviour, since its design allows for a more adequate load distribution, thereby minimizing the vertical bone loss.
The platform size in the Universal Plus implants is 4.5 mm, with a four-lobed geometry, and the prosthetic components used are the same ones as on the Universal platform.
The head diameter of this implant is 4.8 mm in the 4 and 4.5 mm body implants, and 5 mm in the 5 mm body implant.
This type of implant is especially useful for being used in post-extraction sockets, since it allows for a good sealing of the socket. Besides, the Universal Plus Platform includes the platform shifting concept, thereby improving the load distribution and the fatigue resistance.
