Prevention and Management of Broken Endodontic Instruments
This lecture aims to review the most common preventive measures to avoid file breakage and to provide clinical tips and recommendations for the management of challenging broken file cases. Highly invasive, minimal invasive and non invasive broken instrument removal techniques are showcased through video case presentation series under the microscope.
Immediate Loading in Implant Dentistry – Coherent Clinical Application in Everyday Practice
In this webinar presentation, Dr. Henry Salama will outline clinical protocols to facilitate efficient, successful and predictable application of immediate loading protocols for single unit replacement as well as fully edendulous patients. Dr. Salama will utilize research data on bone biology and biomechanics around implants to suggest treatment planning parameters for well organized team logistics and clinical management of both surgical and restorative protocols to minimize risk factors and optimize successful outcomes. In addition, Digital imaging, CAD/CAM and temporization will be especially emphasized.
Computer Enhanced Implant Dentistry - Part 1 of 2
Many elements of the digital workflow including digital treatment planning using merged datasets, guided implant surgery, and CADCAM restorative design will be presented in the context of their current limitations and the opportunity for efficient and predictable esthetic restorative outcomes. The goal of treatment success is based upon the thoughtful application of these technologies to an patient’s specific needs.
Prosthetic Soft Tissue Development From Single to Full Arch Reconstruction
In addition to surgical intervention is the creation of the specific emergence profile that is essential in the aesthetic zone. The emergence profile composed of 2 parts, the abutment and the subgingival part of the crown. The shape of abutment can be individually shaped so that it gives natural appearance and varies individually (depending on the depth, angulation and diameter of the implant). Sometimes it even dictates the implant position. From a surgical perspective, soft tissue height, position and thickness need to be diagnosed and corrected when needed. From the prosthetic point of view, the emergence profile has to be created to mimic the natural appearance and maintained over time in respect to the biological changes. The course teaches step by step how to be successful with implant prosthetics from single tooth, partially edentulous to full arch reconstruction.
The Cad/Cam Technique: Does it Really Make a Difference in Adult Esthetic Orthodontics?
Over the last couple of decades, Lingual Orthodontic treatments have dramatically risen in popularity due to the abundance of worldwide courses and conferences, the large variety of lingual brackets, the improvement in laboratory procedures, updated CAD-CAM technologies and the implementation of 30 years of experience.
Yet, most clinicians still assert that the results are not predictable and not as good as seen with the buccal appliance. The reasons are multifactorial, but are mainly attributed to ignorance and the lack of knowledge of the biomechanics limitations of the orthodontic appliances and the importance of treatment planning. Various CAD-CAM techniques will be surveyed with numerous clinical cases.
