| 5/31/2012 2:34:20 AM | smarth khanna | | How can an implant translocated during osteointegration ? | | this is a failing implant, reasons seem to be many :
1. Since the implant seems to be placed without a surgical stent , it violated the PDL space of canine and inflammation causing osseous necrosis @ implant PDL interface
2. while placing the implant there was much of bleeding from soft tissue which got incorporated in the IBI (implant bone interface), and resulted in formation of fibrous tissue.
3. this doesnt seem to be an allergy of implant metal or surface material because the other implant seems to be fine and of same company .
4. growing fibrous tissue along with inflamation pushed implant from its primary location in bone | | Register For Free To Reply |

I have had a few failures that I have a hard time explaining as well. Was a CT done? What was previous history? | | Register For Free To Reply |

for two implants , one of them which is wrongly placed so close to the maxillary canine , moved from is original site to be located more crestally during 3 months of osteointegration & eventually fall off in the patient mouth ,,, What's the theory explain what happened ?? | | Register For Free To Reply |
