Pure Dental Esthetics – From Titanium to Zirconia
The replacement of a single tooth with dental implants, especially when the patient has a high smile line, has been an esthetic challenge in implant dentistry. Typically, it requires very careful stages to create the final restoration as natural as possible. When there is loss of soft tissues, carefully made dental-gingival prosthesis becomes an alternative of therapy. For all cases with high smile line, achieving perfection in color and texture of the restoration it's not an easy task. Currently there are some ways to achieve better aesthetic results, including digital scanning of colors. This presentation describes step-by-step the application of a protocol developed in our clinic. Several cases will be discussed. In addition, recent technologies such as zirconium implants are also be discussed.

Delayed vs. Immediate Implant Placement: The two camps in this debate are both adamant that their technique is the best and that theirs will give the patients the best long term aesthetic result. Is the literature and available data definitive on this matter? Is the choice really clear for clinicians? This presentation looks critically at the literature and attempts to give clinicians a more flexible approach to immediate and delayed implant placement. Critical surgical guidelines and clinical pearls will be offered for both types of treatment as well as the management of some of the complications that may arise from immediate or delayed implant placement.

The Management of Soft Tissue Complications in Implant Dentistry
A variety of soft tissue procedures have been employed for treatment of soft tissue and ridge defects around implant sites. Some of the limitations of current techniques include scar formation at recipient sites due to surface incisions, relapse of recession due to muscle pull during healing, wound dehiscence and graft exposure. This presentation will discuss the myriad flap and incision designs, tunnel techniques as well as grafting options and suturing.
