Maurice Salama, DMD completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985, where he received his B.S. in Biology. Dr. Salama received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvannia School of Dental Medicine where he later also received his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as implant training at the Brånemark Center at Penn State. He is currently on the Faculty of the University of Pennsylvannia and the Medical College of Georgia as Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics, and is visiting Professor of Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
