The Complete Single Practitioner

Description:
Recent years proved us that dentistry became a synergy of specialties. With comprehensive approach dental TEAMS are playing emerging roles in patient’s treatments, where each member knows the final goal and performs his/her best according to a mutual vision shared by patient, specialists and lab technicians. This lecture with lots of case presentations gives you a unique way of delivering solutions to complex and challenging chief complaints of patients , from a single “complete solution provider”. In these situations we consider implant dentistry a prosthetic discipline with a surgical component. If this complete single practitioner has experience as a prosthodontist, it can improve the understanding of the importance of prosthetically driven implant placement and on the other side the minimally invasive, tissue preserving approaches like partial extraction therapy, osseodensification, connective tissue grafting, guided surgery etc.

Stem Cells in Dentistry Premium Member Content

Stem Cells in Dentistry
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells, capable of renewing themselves, with the capacity to produce different cell types to regenerate missing tissues and treat diseases. Oral facial tissues have been identified as a source and therapeutic target for stem cells with clinical interest in dentistry. In this brief presentation, Dr Ana Paz presents stem cells and outlines the clinical applications of stem cells in dentistry. Although more clinical research in this topic is still needed, Dr Ana Paz believes that the main features of stem cells in the future of dentistry should be understood by clinicians.

Implant Removal Made Easy - When Peri-implantitis Treament is Not Possible
In this video and surgical presentation, Dr. Eduardo Anitua demonstrates a step-by-step safe, efficient and predictable surgical/mechanical technique for the removal of implants that are severely compromised by peri-implantitis. In addition, Dr. Anitua will discuss how to manage the regeneration of the site following implant removal through the therapeutic utilization of plasma rich in growth factors, i.e. Endoret.

The “Scalloped Guide”: A Proof-of-Concept Technique for a Digitally Streamlined, Pink-Free Full-Arch Implant Protocol
Inadequate restorative space can result in mechanical, biologic, and esthetic complications with full-arch fixed implant-supported prosthetics. As such, clinicians often reduce bone to create clearance. The aim of this paper was to present a protocol using stacking computer-aided design/computerassisted manufacturing (CAD/CAM) guides to minimize and accurately obtain the desired bone reduction, immediately place prosthetically guided implants, and load a provisional that replicates predetermined tissue contour. This protocol can help clinicians minimize bone reduction and place the implants in an ideal position that allows them to emerge from the soft tissue interface with a natural, pink-free zirconia fixed dental prostheses.

Preserving Needle Edges During Dental Suturing

Preserving Needle Edges During Dental Suturing
The evolution of suture materials has presented today's clinician with numerous alternatives when performing dental suturing. Contemporary sutures not only eliminate some of the difficulties that the surgeon may have encountered previously during closure, but also decrease the potential of postoperative infection and help provide optimal healing. Despite the sophistication of the suture materials (ie, Perma Sharp, Hu-Friedy, Chicago, IL) and surgical techniques now available, closing a wound still involves…
