Creative Next Generation Surgical Tools and Solutions for the Implant Practice

Description:
Modern Bone Grafting has become more predictable than ever before. Recent developments in CBCT 3D Diagnosis and the utilization of bioactive modifiers such as PRGF, PRF and BMP-2 have stimulated further advances in Surgical techniques as well as a New Age Surgical Armamentarium to maximize the efficiencies and success of these sophisticated procedures. This lecture will highlight this developement, specifically New Age Tools which offer creative and effective solutions for space maintenance, autologous bone harvesting, atraumatic implant removal, and screw fixation. Creative mini-titanium mesh shapes(CTI), autologous bone harvesting drills (ACM Auto Chip Maker), counter torque implant removal systems as well as tenting and fixation screw systems will be discussed and featured.

Hi maurice, Where can I buy the ACM Auto Chip Maker in Europe - ideally in Norway, Scandinavia. Thank you Shelley Khullar Godtfredsen FDSRCS MsC Ph.D

Maurice Salama - (10/23/2012 7:04 PM)

Ola; thank you. For Vertical augmentation of 4mm or less I prefer Ramus, greater than 4mm chin. I do CTG after bone augmentation UNLESS the tissue is THIN or lack of KT then BEFORE. Dr. Salama

Ola Ezat - (10/22/2012 6:12 PM)

Hello DR Maurice.
I would like to ask which had better results chin or ramus graft for vertical ridge augmentation. Also for class 3 do you do soft tissue augmentation as subepithelial connective tissue graft before or after bone augmentation. Thanks alot.

Alessandro Agnini - (8/15/2012 12:40 PM)

Thanks for the beatiful presentation Maurice.when you can, like always do one vertical incision in esthetic zone?Alessandro

Maurice Salama - (8/13/2012 8:50 PM)

Amir; Yes, you must take the opportunity to reposition the flap apically at 2nd stage. The incision is made split-thickness towards the lingual of the crest of the ridge and moved apically and sutured laterally. Thanks for your kind words and for your participation. We hope to see you in Vegas. regards. Dr. S

Amir Erez - (8/13/2012 2:42 AM)

Since flap was advanced coronally, in case needed do you apically reposition the muco-ginginval line in second stage? If so could you describe shortly?- thank you deeply for dentalxp -- Amir

Maurice Salama - (8/12/2012 9:30 AM)

Apostolos and Timothy; Thanks for the posts to my lecture. I have utilized both PRGF and PRF in my practice, both with much success. There are some differences that are clearly displayed by the creators of these protocols, Dr. Anitua and Dr. Choukroun. Both doctors have presentations on XP that can be found here on XP and I strongly suggest you review them. Additionally, both doctors will be lecturing at the XP Global Symposium in Las Vagas Feb. 7-9th 2013. I hope you will both make it. Dr. Salama

APOSTOLOS MERKOURIADIS - (8/11/2012 5:13 PM)

What is the difference between a PRGF-membrane and a PR-Fibrin membrane on the efficiency and success in cases presented?I am asking this question because is more easy and lower cost to make aPRF membrane than a PRGF one. Thanks Dr.Salama.

Ridge Splitting and/or GBR - Maxilla vs. Mandible - Part 1 of 2
Mandibular ridge splitting has been a clinical challenge due to high density of cortical bone. Therefore, some clinicians recommends two stage approach to overcome this issue. We will also present an unique ridge splitting technique that is easy to do and predictable using one stage approach.
