what do you use to cut the prgf into small pieces to mix with allograft? just scissors?

Avi, Dr Choukroune advocates the use of PRF plugs ALONEin socket grafting. What are your thoughts on that compared to combined with bone allograft. Also, do you feel you can reenter the site for implant placement at 6 weeks instead of 3 to 4 months? Lastly, iin socket grafting, if no primary closure is attained, how long do you beleive thatPRF membranes can seal off the site before soft tissue formation and closure

Soft tissue recession around teeth and implants is an epidemic problem in the field of dentistry. A predictable and long-term soft tissue augmentation outcome is primarily dependent on proper diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning. Harvesting limitations of autogenous tissue from the palate represent a true challenge when treating patients with multiple recessions or gingival deformities around teeth and dental implants. The Dual Zone Approach to Tooth Replacement in the Esthetic Zone
Improvements in implant designs have helped advance successful immediate anterior implant placement into fresh extraction sockets. Clinical techniques described in this presentation will enable practitioners to achieve predictable esthetic success using a method that limits the amount of buccal contour change of the extraction site ridge and potentially enhances the thickness of the peri-implant soft tissues coronal to the implant-abutment interface. This approach involves atraumatic tooth removal without flap elevation, and placing a bone graft into the residual gap around an immediate fresh-socket anterior implant with a screw-retained provisional restoration acting as a prosthetic socket seal device. Long term follow up and evidence from scientific literature to support this concept will be described.

Changes in Soft Tissue Dimensions Following Three Different Techniques of Stage-Two Surgery: A Case Series Report
The aim of this case report is to compare the resilts of the increase in keratinized mucosa using three different techniques of stage-two surgery. Thirty-two patients with one to eight dental implants who received prosthetic rehabilitation of the maxilla were included. Patients were divided into three groups based on preoperative anatomical considerations. Stage-two surgery was performed using wither the apically repositioned flap, the roll flap, or an apically repositioned flap combined with a connective tissue graft.

Soft Tissue Cone-Beam Computed Tomography: A Novel Method for the Measurement of Gingival Tissue and the Dimensions of the Dentogingival Unit
The purpose of the present study was to develop a soft tissue cone-beam computed tomography (ST-CBCT) to improve soft tissue image quality and allow the determination of the dimensions and relationships of the structures of the dentogingival unit. Two separate CBCT scans were obtained from three patients with different periodontal biotypes. The first was a scan following standard methods; however, for the ST-CBCT the patients wore a plastic lip retractor and retracted their tongues toward the floor of their mouths.
