Immediate Implant Dentistry: A Predictable & Routine Treatment

Description:
The topic of one day implants (Teeth in a Day, Same Day Implants, etc.) is very popular in implant dentistry. This topic has existed since the introduction of implants into dentistry as the Clinician wishes to reduce chairside time, and the Patient wishes to have less visits to the dental clinician. Until now, there hasn’t been a good scientifically-supported way to provide One Day Implants. To make it a reality, many objective key factors have been discussed and developed in implant dentistry. Implant design was developed in order to achieve vital initial and long-term stability and surface treatments developed as well for secondary stability. In addition, various methods have been developed to determine implant stability which are very helpful to provide one day implants. In this lecture, the current scientific loading criteria and decision making process for One Day Implants will be presented with clinical cases and reliable scientific data such as Resonance Frequency Analysis, implant design that reinforces initial stability, insertion torque value, evaluation of bone density and patient’s parafunction by using R2 Gate software

A Treatment For The Prevention of Maxillary Edentulism: All On Four For The Maxilla
Since the advent of osseointegration, the patient who is edentulous or soon to be edentulated has many options to prevent wearing complete removable prosthesis. In the maxillary arch there are anatomical features that may preclude patients successfully utilizing an implant prosthesis. Some of these include alveolar resorptive changes after extractions, pnuematized sinuses, hard and soft tissue palatal vault configurations, and bone exostosis with associated undercuts. Psychological, many patients suffer after the loss of teeth with loss of self-esteem and avoidance behaviors. Immediate loading of implant in damaged fresh extraction socket with gingival architecture involvement, using bone sliver graft from maxillary tuberosity: a clinical case. <br> Immediate loading of implants in undamaged sockets following tooth extraction is very well established in the literature. In cases of tooth loss with socket structure loss, the esthetic risk increases, thus contraindicating immediate loading, such that the bone graft procedure needs to be prior to implant insertion. This paper describes an immediate loading procedure in a damaged fresh socket in the region of an upper central incisor that presented unevenness of gingival contour.
