This case as you all eluded to was very challenging. Presntly the patient is wearing a provisional and is going to Ira Dickermans lab to ascertain the color. The ridge was expanded utilizing the motorized BTI expansion burs. I like to use these to expand the ridge, but also use osteotome (altho more traumatic) and piezosurgery. However, the ridge must be thicker for this technique. Thanks for the nice comments and I will be sure to post the finals once the case is completed.

Excellent surgery. It is gratifying to hear someone discussing the challenges(I would not label them as failures)that we often encounter in our attempts to restore lost anatomy. I face these challenges, as do all of us, but most presentations leave me with the impression that there are no complications. Thank you, Dr. Sonick.

Must agree with Robert. It is the "little things" that separate success from failure. That's why reviewing surgical steps in detail are so important in improving one's technique. This includes reviewing videos on this site and/or documenting and reviewing your own cases.
