Last Frontier in Esthetic Prosthetic Gingival Reconstruction on the Implant Restoration - Part 1

Description:
This program is an alternate perspective into how "esthetics-driven" implant dentistry has evolved, and why today it is often essential to combine "pink" and "white" prosthetic replacement to achieve that optimal result. This change in philosophical approach involving gingival colored restoratives, incorporates a new modus operandi and treatment planning for implant cosmetics in the esthetic zone in the presence of ridge deficiencies. Preemptive planning of soft and hard tissue grafts, implant placement, ridge reduction and restorative design now utilize definitively specific protocols for these type of prosthetic gingival restorations.

Creative Restorative Correction of a Unilateral Crossbite
Although orthodontics is usually the best solution for cross bite there are patients who wait too long to start treatment and now want an immediate esthetic solution. The patient in this video wanted a great smile for her sister's wedding so the treatment plan consisted of direct composite resin bonding in the brightest shade we could produce. Although the patient agreed to later undergoing orthodontic treatment to improve her occlusion the compromise restorative plan included improvement of the unilateral cross bite.

Mastering Anterior Composites: 3D Layering Technique
The aim of this presentation is to present an individual three-dimensional layering technique with contemporary composites. This novel procedure is indicated in moderate to extensive crown fractures and is considered predictable after eliminating the parameter of thickness while layering restorative materials.

Clinical Excellence in Operative Dentistry: Not Only A Question of Color & Fancy Trends
Nowadays the maintenance of “a nice smiling” represents the main desire of our patients and the request for tooth colored restorations is very high. Predictable and repeatable results can be achieved through materials and clinical practices that, on one hand, preserve the original structure of the compromised tooth and, on the other hand, involve a very low biologic price. New technologies for the enamel-dentinal adhesion and the continuous evolution of more sophisticated esthetic materials as composite and porcelains allow the effective reaching of verifiable and predictable results. This lecture aims to point out the relevant guidelines in both direct and indirect techniques for esthetic restorations through the evaluation of techniques and materials in order to reach correct, standardized and long lasting evidence based clinical results.

Evidence-Based Recommendations For The Use of Dental Adhesives
Dentists often rely on extrapolation from laboratory to clinical findings to predict the clinical behavior of dental adhesives. This lecture will give an overview of current adhesion strategies, respective advantages and disadvantages, and recommendations to optimize the application of recent universal adhesives. An evidence-based approach will highlight the myths and facts related to the interpretation of data from systematic reviews of clinical studies and a few laboratory studies.

Planning & Finishing Techniques
Longevity and optimal aesthetics are critical aspects to consider when planning for direct composite resin restorations. While strength, wear resistance, and superior micromechanical retention are typically associated with functional durability, during the planning stage clinicians must equally consider aesthetic longevity, which includes retension of the original morphology, color stability, stain resistance, and marginal adaptation. To ensure optimum results for direct composite resin restorations,…
