Chun, Yes....The goal is to have maximum intercuspation occur at the time the condyles are seated in CR so as not to create any prematurities in the occlusion

Dear Jay, As I told you personally in Vegas, I liked your presentation very much. It's good to see it is now on dentalxp for others to see. Normally we don't get to see or discuss this subjects in symposiums. I like when people take risks to show important subjects like VD and occlusion in such a proper way.

Digital Workflow for Anterior Implant Aesthetics Premium Member Content

Digital Workflow for Anterior Implant Aesthetics
We have seen excellent results in the aesthetic zone when immediate implant placement techniques have been used. A review of the current literature reveals and confirms the re-education of mid-buccal facial recession is best when an immediate provisional is used. If we can digitize this information and create a crown-root form matrix, we can allow tissue to maintain the exact 3D position of the crown and root of the tooth that is to be replaced. A technique using "dicom" files and "STL" files of the original tooth-root will be demonstrated. This will allow ideal healing of the surrounding hard and soft tissues in for any implants restoration.

Pure Dental Esthetics – From Titanium to Zirconia
The replacement of a single tooth with dental implants, especially when the patient has a high smile line, has been an esthetic challenge in implant dentistry. Typically, it requires very careful stages to create the final restoration as natural as possible. When there is loss of soft tissues, carefully made dental-gingival prosthesis becomes an alternative of therapy. For all cases with high smile line, achieving perfection in color and texture of the restoration it's not an easy task. Currently there are some ways to achieve better aesthetic results, including digital scanning of colors. This presentation describes step-by-step the application of a protocol developed in our clinic. Several cases will be discussed. In addition, recent technologies such as zirconium implants are also be discussed.

Range & Mean Distribution Frequency of Individual Tooth Width of the Maxillary Anterior Dentition
Proper diagnosis of tooth size for each patient is critical in treatment planning for aesthetic restorative dentistry. The goal of this study was to determine the clinically relevant range and mean distribution frequency of individual tooth width of the maxillary anterior dentition within a given population of patients. Mean values for restoration of tooth size were not interchangeable for the different group size of patients or respective tooth groups. The results of this study suggest that there exists a range value of maxillary anterior tooth width for both males and females. Gender differences are a critical factor in restoring an aesthetically pleasing smile.

Laser-Assisted Flapless Crown Lengthening: A Case Series
In medicine, and to a lesser extent in dentistry, evolving technologies have served to expand the indications for minimally invasive procedures. In dentistry, lasers, although currently less integral to advances in minimally invasive procedures, are nevertheless evolving as potentially effective adjunctive tools within the therapeutic arena.
