The mIVAN Approach for Preservation Surgery

Description:
mIVAN* Technique is a nice abbreviation for complicated terminus: “ Modified Interpositional Augmentation Neogenesis”. It is basically simultaneous hard and soft tissue augmentation utilizing pediculated connective tissue graft. It works for Socket type 2 and 3 and ridges with horizontal atrophy. Combined with Partial Extraction Therapy, mIVAN technique is a nice treatment choice for the teeth with recessions.

snjezana pohl - (8/24/2018 9:22 AM)

It is the same procedure for teeth grinding into the small particles like with any other tooth. Tooth is mechanically cleaned, put into the dentin grinder, the small particles are cleaned chemically, washed, dried - and ready for use. The entire procedure takes about 15-20min. Thank you for asking: https://youtu.be/QvRejrq99v0

S.M.A.R.T. Minimally Invasive Bone Grafting
Introduction to the S.M.A.R.T. TM Minimally Invasive Bone Grafting Technique is a novel minimally invasive bone grafting technique developed by Dr. Ernesto Lee. It provides superior outcomes with less pain, less swelling and fewer complications than traditional bone grafting procedures. Only a small incision is required, with no flap elevation, no tenting screws and no membranes. Complex, high risk scenarios can now be treated with minimal risk of complications. The S.M.A.R.T. TM method represents a disruptive technology that will dramatically impact the future of bone grafting

A Complete 3D Strategy to Esthetic Cross Arch Restorations: Guide Surgery & Soft Tissue Interface Management with CAD-CAM Restorations
I will highlight the benefits achievable through the use of guided planning, guided laboratory procedures and guided surgeries, while maintaining the fundamental principles of osseointegration. My ten years of scientifically proven experience and clinical follow-up in guided surgery and CAD/CAM biomimetic restorations will be shared with the audience to support clinical protocols as well as practical tips and tricks with case studies demonstrating each clinical scenario. New surgical and prosthetic improvements and novel proof-of-concept techniques to enhance the natural soft tissue integration will be presented. Viewers will also broaden their knowledge of hard and soft tissue surgical management through the guided surgery, discovering the latest implant designs and prosthetic interfaces designed to achieve an ideal soft tissue seal and bone level over time.

Laser Assisted Crown Lengthening
Clinical scenarios where crown lengthening procedures are indicated within the esthetic zone require special consideration to achieve predictable restorative results. Whether they are performed for the purposes of exposing sound tooth structure, or to enhance the appearance of the definitive restorations, these procedures must be planned to satisfy biologic requirements, while simultaneously avoiding deleterious esthetic effects. The implementation of diagnostic criteria, along with evidence-based…

Using an Acellular Dermal Matrix for Increasing Keratinized Tissue Around Dental Implants

Using an Acellular Dermal Matrix for Increasing Keratinized Tissue Around Dental Implants
In previously published articles, investigators concluded that gingival recession may affect up to 90% of the population. Gingival recession ranges from one to three millimeters and is predominantly noted on the buccal surfaces of molar, premolar, and lower incisor teeth. Although surgical grafting techniques have traditionally been used to restore these recession sites, an acellular allograft material has recently been developed for increasing the zone of keratinized tissue surrounding teeth and…

Two Immediate Temporization Methods Exemplified: Flap vs. Punch Technique in Implant Surgery

Two Immediate Temporization Methods Exemplified: Flap vs. Punch Technique in Implant Surgery
Protocols and techniques for immediate tooth replacement in the esthetic zone have become more popular and predictable within the past decade. Two different clinical scenarios are presented where immediate temporization of implants placed into healed or augmented ridges is exemplified. The benefits of augmentation prior to implant placement and temporization are that flap elevation is not required; therefore, the blood supply to the labial plate is not compromised, thereby eliminating potential midfacial recession. In addition, the soft tissue subgingival shape of the temporary crown can be non-surgically sculpted at the time of implant placement since the patient is already anesthetized.
