It is very excited minimally invasive periodontal surgery. It is just what Dr Salama mentions "it is simple" but I think it need a lot of practice of doing this.

Xp friends; I will record the Model based Tunnel procedure in HD format. We have scheduled it for the coming month and will voiceover after editing. Keep an eye out for it. The older video no longer can be utilized due to the older format.

Yehuda and all my friends; Thank you for reminding me. It will be voiced over in the coming weeks and then posted after the New Year. I am hopeful to do more model based videos in the future to add as well. The yellow material used on the roots is tetracycline paste used to condition the cementum for fibroblast adhesion. The tunnel instruments are sold thru Devemed and can be purchased directly on this site www.dentalxp.com. As for sutures, 6.0 Polypropylene or 5.0 Nylon work very well. My next Soft Tissue Hands-on course is here in Atlanta, March 9-10th. Thank you all for your posts and interest. many thanks Dr. Salama

Yehuda RUBIN - (12/14/2011 5:25 PM)

Dr Maurice Salama, as you suggested, coul'd you please put on dental-xp, the video of tunneling technique done on the model (not on a patient)that you shown us in your course in Tel-aviv . So it will be much easier to remember how to use each instrument to ahieve the procedure
Thank you
Yehuda Rubin (Israel)

Achieving Predictable Connective Tissue Root Coverage

Achieving Predictable Connective Tissue Root Coverage
Gingival recession creates esthetic issues. These issues may be corrected from a restorative perspective by the placement of composite resin or ceramic over the exposed root. But this approach often results in a gingival-incisal length that does not blend esthetically with the adjacent teeth. Often accompanying the gingival recession is a decrease in the band of attached gingiva. The wider the band of attached gingiva, the more stable the long-term result. Therefore, surgical correction of the recession…
