Kym Stock; Always place head of implant depth related to facial/buccal bone height and not the interproximal. 2-3mm is an average below the future margin of the gingiva. Yes, that is more depth interproximally especially in highly scalloped cases.

When claculating depth of the fixture in a highly scalloped bone case, do you calculate the amount of sub osseous depth for fixture placement from the facial/buccal bone height or the interproximal bone level (which will obviously be deeper).

Do you often see bown growth over the cover screw when utilizing 2 stage approach with subcrestal implants?

Nice lecture, Thanks to Dr Fetner. I am curious to know that platform switching is the only method to prevent marginal bone resorption for two stage subcrestal placed implants? Do u think platform switching goes well or prevention of micromovement plays more important for inhibition of crestal resorption?
