excellent presentation for anterior composite restoration, opaquer was used to hide demarcation line ,dentine shades were not used ,can you explain

Great Video. I'm curious how you manage to have a well sealed margin on the lingual when you place the first layer of composite. Do you remove the matrix and do a sort of sandwich technique or do you just adapt the composite to the lingual margin with the matrix already in place? I'd appreciate some further insight. Thanks

Thanks to all of you who watched and thanks also for the nice comments. Below, I have answered a few of the questions. For microtexture, I use the largest course diamond bur I have on a very slow stalling speed and apply it just prior to your final polishing step. Yes, you do have to light cure the color modifier It takes me about an hour and half to complete this type of restoration The reason we etch all the way to the gingival is to avoid any "brown line" bond failure at the edges of the restoration. As far as price, you need to decide what you feel your time is worth. Book enough time to do a nice job. I charge about half or less of what my porcelain veneer fee would be. Hope this helps evryone!

Longevity and optimal aesthetics are critical aspects to consider when planning for direct composite resin restorations. While strength, wear resistance, and superior micromechanical retention are typically associated with functional durability, during the planning stage clinicians must equally consider aesthetic longevity, which includes retension of the original morphology, color stability, stain resistance, and marginal adaptation. To ensure optimum results for direct composite resin restorations,…
