Nice to have such a strong advocate for the use of 3D imaging.... CBCT, and how to improve diagnosis and treatment planning ... with the various tricks of the trade. Well done as always.

Thanks Farhan. Unfortunately it was not a lecture on gummy smile treatment rather on the use of CBCT. But we have publications coming soon so you will be able to see them

Great Insights for the new Socket Shield Technique ,and 3D Printing for crown lenthening for altered passive eruption,it would have been more better if healing times after lenthening could have been touched thank you master

Howard - your presentations are always so polished and interesting. I was so fortunate to have you as my mentor, and I honestly appreciate the education and skills that you imparted to me on your many hands on courses & presenations (such as this). You have always been available and approachable for any issue I have had over the years. Thanks for always sharing your knowledge with all of us, so that we can learn and up our games on an ongoing basis.

Complex Case Rehabilitation in Light of New Technologies
This case report describes a step-by-step full-arch restoration, upper and lower, rehabilitated utilizing new technologies in dentistry. CAD/CAM technology has changed not only the technician’s working process, but also the clinician’s, offering new benefits to the clinical workflow, as for example the possibility of using zirconia and its characteristics as a restorative material. The clinician’s and technician’s professional backgrounds and relationship are critical to achieving better esthetic and functional results, while prosthetic success depends upon an in-depth knowledge of the materials and their properties and on carefully performed clinical procedures, which are still of outmost importance to obtain satisfactory results.

Is There One or More Reasons to Optimize the PRF & PRP Protocols? Future Trends in Dentistry, Orthopedics and Facial Aesthetics
The “Advanced” PRF (A-PRF) and “Injectable” PRF (I-PRF) protocols were designed with this new concept. Indications are numerous in all medical fields where we need regeneration: bone, cartilage, skin etc... However, the use of growth factors is not a guarantee of long term stability, as they are active only at the beginning of the process. Numerous rules of tissue engineering have to be applied to maintain the regenerated bone through an adequate blood supply: this lecture is an enlightenment on the biological and mechanical conditions for long term stability of the bone: “grafted bone” or “bone around implants”.

The Role of Digital Technologies & Materials for Full-Arch Implant Reconstruction Premium Member Content

The Role of Digital Technologies & Materials for Full-Arch Implant Reconstruction
In prosthetic rehabilitations, we used for many years codified and widely described protocols in literature, with results that met our expectations and well above those of our patients. It is true that the advent of new technologies has enabled the dental team to use new material and new equipment that facilitated the production of an adaptation and an accuracy of the prosthetic rehabilitation that has, up to now, been difficult to obtain. In this presentation, we will analyze different cases, highlighting the operational differences that they have developed over time, with the increasing knowledge of the new materials and the daily developing of the new software's. It is also described how traditional materials and techniques have been replaced with other innovative new technologies, and how the results obtained with these are systematic and significantly better in updated generations prior.

Positive & Negative Factors in Stem Cells & Wound Healing: Solutions for Long Term Stability Premium Member Content

Positive & Negative Factors in Stem Cells & Wound Healing: Solutions for Long Term Stability
The main factor for soft and hard tissue healing is the speed and quality of new vascularization. This lecture will present all the positive and negative factors who control the angiogenesis, blood supply and bone metabolism: -Biological factors as vit. D and cholesterol have to be checked before the surgery -The management of the flaps with sutures is one the main factor for the bone and soft tissue maintenance.. -The soft brushing technique is a new technique which increases the flap without periosteal incision nor bleeding. -Careful Implant placement without too much torque, specially in cortical bone or grafted bone at the re-entry.. -The A-PRF liquid and i-PRF are solutions to reduce the mobility of the granules (sticky bone) with an improvement of angiogenesis The use of growth factors is a stimulation of angiogenesis. The prevention of the negative factors will allow us to achieve the long term stability.

A Technique for Surgical Mandibular Exostosis Removal

A Technique for Surgical Mandibular Exostosis Removal
Exostosis, a slow-growing, benign bony outgrowth, is a common clinical finding and not usually an issue with patients. However, when removable prosthetics must sit either adjacent to or over these areas, pressure, food abrasion, ulceration, or limited tongue space can occur. This article describes a surgical technique for exdsion of exostosis through the presentation of a case. An 86-year-old woman had soft-tissue irritation caused by abrasion from food in the buccal posterior right quadrant. The…
