minimal invasive balloon technique ,where to buy the kits for that method, sir can you tell how to expand the narrow ridges?

ashok gowda - (4/22/2011 4:25 PM)

Dr.Ziv, its very informative for a fresher like me, keep posting, thank you.

Michel,
The balloon is used once for an individual patient. If the osteotomy is clean(and the screw tap is used to clean all bone spicules in the osteotmy)than there is no balloon rapture.
The balloon is manufactured in Israel and is sold after taking a course. It will be available in the US in a couple of months.

Michel Maltais - (10/17/2010 8:59 PM)

Thank you very much for these procedures part 1 and 2. Would it be possible to get the selling name or trade mark for the Balloon device as mentioned below? You mentioned the advantages of the balloon technique but how often the balloon is used (I would assume once only)? What is the chance that the balloon break when inflating it and what happen when it does to the sinus membrane?

muhammad siddiqui - (6/6/2010 3:26 PM)

Very informative & helpful for reducing complications of the procedure.

Vijay Kumar - (6/1/2010 5:11 AM)

sir, thank you very much for giving information about the use of prf for sinus augmentation.

Part one:good review. Part two: very informative.

DENNIS SEVEL710 - (5/31/2010 12:48 PM)

THE USE OF ONLY PRF IN THE SINUS WITHOUT ANY GRAFTING MATERIAL SEEMS TO BE AN ENORMOUS BREAKTHROUGH. WONDERING IF IT WILL SPEED UP THE FORMATION OF NEW BONE AS OPPOSED TO TRADITIONAL GRAFT MATERIALS.AS USUAL A WONDERFUL AND INFORMATIVE PRESENTATION Dr Mazor.

Sinus Floor Augmentation With Simultaneous Implant Placement Using Choukroun’s Platelet-Rich Fibrin as the Sole Grafting Material: A Radiologic and Histologic Study at 6 Months
Sinus augmentation with simultaneous implant placement without bone graft material is a hotly debated technique. This technique could be improved and secured by the use of an autologous leukocyte-and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) (Choukroun’s technique) concentrate. The objectives of this study were to assess the relevance of PRF clots and membranes as the sole filling material during a lateral sinus lift with immediate implantation using radiologic and histologic analyses in a case series.

Healing in Smokers Versus Nonsmokers: Survival Rates for Sinus Floor Augmentation with Simultaneous Implant Placement
Evidence suggests that smoking is detrimental to the survival of dental implants placed in grafted maxillary sinuses. Studies have shown that improving bone quantity and quality, using rough- surfaced implants, and practicing good oral hygiene may improve outcomes. In this prospective study, the long-term survival rates of implants placed simultaneously with sinus grafting in smokers and non- smokers were compared.
