why did you choose to splint the crowns together?

Jose; If the tissue is thin, yes. Add the CTG graft. Would then wait approx. 3 months prior to restorative phase.
good luck

Would you do a CTG graft simultaneously with the veneer graft in the case of the central incisors and how long do you wait after the veneer graft to begin with the restorative phase,

Dentimp; Many thanks to you for all your posts and enthusiasm. I enjoy the interaction very much. I have utilized PRF over the past several months and should have more information as I reenter the sites in the coming year. Obviously, I have many cases with PRGF, over 6 years now with excellent results and easy to apply clinically although more difficult to prepare than PRF.
Happy Holidays

Dear Dr.Salama :I've been using PRF since 2007, my experiences are not that consistent. I do'nt have any source of learning or using PRGF , eager to see your experiences with PRF ,and maybe I should find some way to learn using PRGF. Thank you for all your reply and Happy Holidays !

Sivan; Thank you for the post. I have much more experience with PRGF but my eaarly results with PRF have been impressive. I will begin to re-enter these cases in the coming months and should then form a better comparison. Looking forward to seeing you next month in Israel.

Dr Salama , you have mentioned that you have been using PRF lately, do you find it as a good bioactive agent? do you think it is as good as PRGF ? thak you and welcome to Israel next month

Titanium Mesh and it's Role in Bone Augmentation; A Clinical Review
Different surgical procedures have been proposed in reconstruction of deficient alveolar ridges for placing dental implants in optimum prosthetic and esthetic position. One of the inconveniences of titanium mesh which has been reported is the exposure of it but on the other hand the benefit in comparison to non resorbable membranes is that there is no need for removal and the risk of infection is very low. In this lecture different cases will be presented and clinical points to be considered in using titanium mesh will be highlighted.

Tissue Engineering and Platelet Derived Growth Factors: Evidence Based Therapy
Platelet derived growth factors are now routinely utilized in reconstructive therapy. This presentation describes very detailed and evidence based guidelines for clinicians interested in enhancing their abilities in tissue engineering, especially as it relates to bone augmentation. Specifically, while successful bone augmentation requires the standard surgical parameters of space maintenance, low pressure on the grafts and tension-free flap closure, optimization of this goal requires management and enhancement of the local biological conditions with growth factors. Towards that end, platelet concentrates through the constant release of growth factors are able to promote and enhance new vascularization, provide plasma protein, normal lipidemia, as well as increased collagen and fibrin activity.

Peridontal Osseous Surgery and Root Resective Therapy
Historically, osseous surgery was performed to eliminate infected bone. Early in the 20th century clinicians realized that periodontally affected bone was not actually infected. Instead of an invasive bacterial infection, chronic inflammation was responsible for bone destruction. This finding changed the rationale for periodontal therapy and led to modern concepts of osseous surgery. Currently accepted approaches are based on guidelines, parameters, and definitions published by many highly respected…
