Description:
Restoring the full arch has it challenges in it self not only from an esthetic stand point but also from the technical side. We are faced with a multitude of restorative option and this presentation will take you through a full arch restoration and why we chose this particular restoration. Today with the availability of different materials and technologies we can make sure we create a restoration that is not only hygiene friendly but retrievable and repairable. We also will go over some of the protocols needed in communicating between the restorative dentist and the laboratory and how we have to think out side the box. What are the expectations from the patient and the restorative doctor, can we meet these expectations? These are questions we have to ask our self for every case we restore.

Thank you for your positive feedback. The lateral screw i used is made by Bredent( XPdent). Occlusal screw system OC. I like it because it's a conical interface and not flat. The conical shape will prevent it from backing out and come loose. I hope you find it in UK.

sublime is the word 'looking at that working cast' i could never perceive the final aesthetics. Lars which lateral screws you used as in UK we only have 'bredent' supplying their own.

Barry, thank you. Yes the difficult thing some times is that the restorative team ie. the technician and restorative dentist don't get involved in the beginning phases of the treatment plan. These problems can often be solved or at least anticipated if we all get the compromised information before the implants have been placed. Utilizing the technology of CBCT and internet can help in the planning. The choices of restorative materials and available technologies can be discussed prior to surgery.Many problems can be solved by understanding each others expectations prior to beginning a large reconstruction.

It appears there where no expectations of the surgeon as to proper placement or planning of this case! Nice job on the laboratory recovery. Implant dentistry should not be this difficult if proper planning was done prior to surgery.
