Tooth Makeover to a True Smile Makeover

Description:
In Cosmetic Dentistry our goal is to create beautiful smiles. In reality there is more to an individual's smile than what exists within the mouth. Our patients look at their entire face when they smile, seeing far more than just their teeth. Health and function can and should be go hand-in-hand with aesthetics. Rather than being mutually exclusive, function and aesthetics including facial aesthetics are partners in achieving optimal health. We now have the ability through facial rejuvenation including botox, laser and fillers to enhance an individual's face and neck creating a smile that comes from the heart. In the webinar, Dr. Warren Roberts strategically integrates facial rejuvenation with the cosmetic smile makeover using his 30+ years of dental expertise, making this a relevant issue for any dentist. Dr. Roberts will describe the facial rejuvenation treatments your patients are likely undergoing right now and will clearly define how and why you should implement these services in your own practice. Create a new profit center!

Questions & Comments
Warren Roberts - (7/18/2012 3:34 PM)

Dr. Island Mak, I am not sure where you live. However each practitioner needs to investigate whether or not they are able to perform the treatments in there state / province / country. Dermatologist question?...Most Md's, Plastic surgeons, Dermatologist are at a bet of a disadvantage when we are discussing smile design (they have limited knowledge & training in this area). We are seeing more of these colleagues at our courses...please read our testimonials on PTIFA.com. I hope that I answered your questions. Thank you, Warren Roberts

Dr. Mahitab Soliman, Thank you for watching the Botox presentation. I will answer your questions in the order that they came to me. (1) yes we use Botox in the neck & lower face routinely. Sometimes we use it only for cosmetic reshaping, however most cases have a therapeutic treatment with a beneficial a beautiful reshaping as a secondary effect. (2)At the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics, we developed the weal technique which is extremely superficial. This technique rarely has any bleeding, swelling or bruising. (3)The dosage for each muscle depends on numerous factors-- age, sex, the aging process, fitness & activity, stress etc. (4)We teach a 1:1 concentration. We mark each muscle that we are injecting & photograph the marks, this allows us to be muscle specific.....using the weal techinique & the 1:1 concentration with the molecular structure... allows us to achieve excellent results consistantly. (5)The points of injections are in the specific muscles that we are targeting. We spend approximately six hours in our 2 Day Botox course on the anatomy of the Head & Neck. Through the knowledge of the anatomy & the photography of the sequence of muscle recruitment we are then able to achieve excellent results. Thank you, We look forward to seeing you in one of the PTIFA courses. Warren Roberts

From 2D to 3D: The Benefits of 3D-X-ray in the Different Fields of Dentistry
CBCT(Cone Beam Computed Tomography) has developed in the last years from a highly specialized used subject used mainly by specialized surgeons and implantologists to a wide field of indications, used mostly by general practitioners, periodontists, endodontists, general implantologists and orthodontists. The picture quality has increased drastically so the 3-D X-ray techniques are able to show aspects that 2-D X-ray-techniques are unable to present. 3-D X-ray systems are linked today to other diagnostic and electro-mechanical systems as there are automaticised software measure and diagnostic tools, intra and extra-oral scanning systems and CAD-CAM-milling-systems. That increases the diagnostic and treatment possibilities this systems offers to the users.
