Interdisciplinary Team Dentistry for Total Dentofacial Esthetics - Part 1 of 2
Orthodontics sets up the foundation for future prosthetics in cases with periodontal, surgical and restorative dentistry requirements. Adult orthodontics simplifies complex clinical situations. Making it easier for restorative dentist to achieve better esthetic & functional results. Orthognatic surgery combined with orthodontics corrects skeletal discrepancies in order to have the patient ready for prosthodontic replacement of multiple missing teeth. Cases combined with implants to restore form & function will further illustrate the importance of multidisciplinary dentistry. Today´s practice requires a team approach that will be presented. In order to meet the patient´s demands for better esthetics and to obtain long term occlusal stability of our results.

The Cad/Cam Technique: Does it Really Make a Difference in Adult Esthetic Orthodontics?
Over the last couple of decades, Lingual Orthodontic treatments have dramatically risen in popularity due to the abundance of worldwide courses and conferences, the large variety of lingual brackets, the improvement in laboratory procedures, updated CAD-CAM technologies and the implementation of 30 years of experience. Yet, most clinicians still assert that the results are not predictable and not as good as seen with the buccal appliance. The reasons are multifactorial, but are mainly attributed to ignorance and the lack of knowledge of the biomechanics limitations of the orthodontic appliances and the importance of treatment planning. Various CAD-CAM techniques will be surveyed with numerous clinical cases.

Anterior zone represents a clinical challenge in dentofacial esthetics. This presentation is unique since we will illustrate multidisciplinary treatment for the anterior zone from A to Z. Through the perspective of a Master Dental Ceramist & Restorative Dentist combined with the input of the Orthodontist we will illustrate with clinical cases the management of anterior esthetic challenges. Skeletal & dental problems are treated through orthodontics & orthognatic surgery prior to periodontal plastic surgery & finally high quality restorative dentistry gives the final touch to our cases. Extensive details of the ceramic laboratory work will be explained & illustrated for preserving as much as possible tooth structure. The complete management of anterior veneers & metal free crowns will be explained in detail. Color & shapes are an integral part of this webinar.

Managing the Patient with Missing or Malformed Maxillary Central Incisors
Occasionally, orthodontists and general dentists encounter a patient who has traumatically avulsed a maxillary central incisor1 or a patient with a geminated or fused maxillary central incisor that must be removed. In either situation, a decision must be made about the eventual restoration of the anterior edentulous space. Several options exist for replacing a missing maxillary central incisor. If the tooth has been avulsed, the simplest long-term solution is to replant it. However, the success…

Congenitally Missing Mandibular Second Premolars

Congenitally Missing Mandibular Second Premolars
Introduction: Congenital absence of mandibular second premolars affects many orthodontic patients. The orthodontist must make the proper decision at the appropriate time regarding management of the edentulous space. These spaces can be closed or left open. Implications: If the space will be left open for an eventual restoration, the keys during orthodontic treatment are to create the correct amount of space and to leave the alveolar ridge in an ideal condition for a future restoration.…
