Dr. Alan Meltzer received his dental degree (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with honors. He completed his certification training in Periodontics & Oral Medicine and received his Master of Science in Dentistry (M.Sc.D.) at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He pursued training in the Advanced Management of Disorders of the Temporomandibular Joint at Georgetown University School of Dental Medicine in Washington DC and his surgical and prosthetic implant training at the Brånemark Clinic in Göteborg, Sweden.
Dr. Meltzer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration, where he serves on its Research and Education Committees. Dr. Meltzer has also served as chairman of the Department of Graduate Periodontics at Temple University. He is past president of the Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration.
While Dr. Meltzer’s training and dual board certifications attest to his knowledge and training, his reputation is based upon his outstanding clinical skill and patient care. He has been featured in New Jersey Magazine as a “Top Doc” and Dentistry Today magazine as one of the “Top 100” international leaders in dentistry. Dr. Meltzer has also received international acclaim through his numerous publications and by presenting his innovative techniques and knowledge before various professional academies including:
