Dr. Douglas Terry received his D.D.S. from the University of Texas Health Science Center - Houston Dental Branch in 1978. He is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, an associate member of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry, The American Prosthodontic Society, an honorary member of the Indian Academy of Restorative Dentistry, a past research associate for REALITY Research Lab and clinical associate for REALITY Publishing, also he has memberships in the International Association for Dental Research and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the editorial staff for the publication Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry, a advisory board member of Esthetic Excellence Clinical Case Studies and Technique Review, editorial member of Contemporary Esthetic and Restorative Practice, Restorative Quarterly, Collaborative Techniques, Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, journal of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry, Ästhetische Zahnmedizin, Germany, Dentistry Today, TeamWork Media Germany, Private Dentistry, United Kingdom, and also a member of International Oral Design. He has received awards and published over 230 articles on various topics in esthetic dentistry in numerous languages and authored the textbook“Natural Aesthetics with Composite Resin.” He has lectured both nationally and internationally on numerous topics in aesthetic dentistry including hands on participation courses in direct bonding. He is an active consultant and product evaluator to several dental manufacturers in the area of new product development and refinement. He is an Assistant Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials, at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch at Houston, Texas. He has earned his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics. Dr. Terry is the founder and CEO of the Institute of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry. He maintains a private practice in Houston, Texas emphasizing aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
