Dr. Silverstein is an Associate Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Silverstein lectures both nationally and internationally on the topics of Periodontal Plastic Surgery, Dental Implantology, Hard and Soft Tissue Regenerative Surgical Techniques and Oral Medicine. He has contributed extensively to the Literature with over 100 scientific articles published in refereed journals, and having been a contributing editor to numerous textbooks by writing 8 textbook chapters. Dr. Silverstein is privileged to be on the contributing editorial boards of Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry, Compendium, Dentistry Today, Collaborative Dental Techniques, Inside Dentistry, Functional Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry Scientific Magazine. Dr. Silverstein has been granted Fellowships in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Silverstein is the author of the highly acclaimed textbook entitled "Principles of Dental Suturing: A Complete Guide to Surgical Closure" and has just completed his new book entitled “Principles of Soft Tissue Surgery: A Complete Step by Step Procedural Guide". Dr. Silverstein maintains a private practice at Kennestone Periodontics in Marietta, Georgia.

Dr. Silverstein's personal interests include motorcycle riding,traveling around the world deep sea fishing with his children, running, weight lifting, eating terrific pizza and being with his wife Phyllis and his children.
