Roger P. Levin, a third generation dentist, founded Levin Group in 1985 to meet a need in the dental community for practice management consulting. He is one of the industry’s pioneers in developing practice management and marketing programs and has built Levin Group into a national company with 100 employees.

After graduating from the University Of Maryland College Of Dentistry in 1982 and practicing in his family’s dental practice for several years, Dr. Levin recognized that a common challenge for dentists was how to effectively run their practice as a business. Although their education had prepared them exceedingly well for the clinical aspect of practicing dentistry, the majority of them had limited training in bringing business principles to managing and growing a practice. In 1985, he began providing practice management consulting services to fellow dentists in the Greater Baltimore area while still practicing. Fueled by his entrepreneurial spirit, he built the company over the next seven years, and in 1992 he decided to give his full attention to Levin Group.

With its corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland and a second location in Phoenix, Arizona, Levin Group provides comprehensive lifetime services to more than 1,000 dentists and specialists annually throughout the United States and internationally. In addition to practice management consulting and referral-based marketing, Levin Group offers dentists and specialists financial planning, recruitment, transitions and executive coaching services.

Over the past 23 years, he has developed the Levin Group Method™, a systems-based approach to guiding a dental practice to enhanced productivity and profitability. He travels extensively as a renowned speaker to teach thousands of dentists solutions for working smarter, not harder. In addition to serving as the visionary for Levin Group, Dr. Levin is a frequent lecturer for key dental organizations, a columnist featured in numerous dental publications, an author of more than 50 books as well as a philanthropist. He currently serves on the Boards of the National Museum of Dentistry, Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, and the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. His service to the National Museum of Dentistry also includes a two-year term from 2005-2007 as its Chairman of the Board. In 2004 he was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner in Maryland.

Dr. Levin resides in Owings Mills, Maryland and enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
