Tomaso Vercellotti, MD, DDS
Dr. Tomaso Vercellotti earned an advanced degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Genova by graduating at the top of his class - cum laude status - in 1979. He specialized in Odontostomatology in 1984 and he is a now a visiting Professor in this reputable institution.
He is the inventor of Piezoelectric Bone Surgery Device and he authored the first scientific-clinical articles on Piezoelectric Bone Surgery, new surgical techniques and has authored two (2) chapters on the Piezoelectric Sinus Lift procedure in two instructional text books.
Dr. Tomaso is an active member: AO, ICOI, EAO, SIdP (Italian Society of Periodontology) and is an International Speaker having presented his technological advancements and scientific results at industry meetings across the continent for the AO, EAO, AAP, ICOI, AAID and other various programs.
Prof. Vercellotti collaborates with many Italian and International Universities and is the founder of Mebiotec Srl BMI which is a medical enterprise that is working to develop new and improved technologies in the area of biomedical research in the specialty of Bone Surgery in Dentistry, Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and Otology.
He is the founder of the Piezosurgery Academy for Advanced Surgical Studies and he was the 2005 recipient of the Andi Award from the Italian Dental Association for scientific and cultural merit. Professor Vercellotti maintains a private practice in Genova, Italy in which he specializes in Periodontology and Implantology.
