Guided Bone Regeneration of a Seibert Class III Bone Defect With Bioactive Calcium Phosphosilicate Bone Graft: Human Histology and Clinical Report Premium Member Content

Guided Bone Regeneration of a Seibert Class III Bone Defect With Bioactive Calcium Phosphosilicate Bone Graft: Human Histology and Clinical Report
This clinical case aimed to achieve two main objectives. The first was to determine if the use of only calcium phosphosilicate bone graft as a regeneration material (with no autologous bone added) on a severe vertical and horizontal mandibular defect would allow enough bone to be obtained to enable the placement of dental implants. The second objective was to determine histologic characteristics of the regenerated site after a healing period of 10 months.

Immediate loading of a socket shield (partial extraction therapy) post-extraction implant with the final CAD/CAM crown The ONE protocol for one-day natural aesthetics and preventing buccal collapse
Immediate implant placement is a well-recognised and successful treatment option after tooth extraction.1,2 Success rates for both immediate and delayed implant techniques are comparable; however, the literature reports that one can expect buccal collapse of the original buccal volume and midfacial recession of at least 1mm after immediate implant placement, possibly worse in thin gingival biotypes.3

"The Soft Block": Treating Severe Recessions Around Dental Implants
Implants have been one of the major breakthroughs in dentistry. Tissue collapse around dental implants is our number one enemy as it gives rise to serious problems that go from inflammation, through many times chronic infection, all the way down to severe recession, seriously compromising not only esthetics, but also function and our patients well being. Strategies have been developed to help clinicians to try to avoid collapse. Among the most important are procedures such as: grafting the gap; GBR with several biomaterials and barriers; flapless approaches; immediate implant placement after tooth removal with provisionalization using CAD-CAM & 3D technologies and ultimately PET strategies also combined or not with immediate load

Partial Extraction Therapy (PET) in Everyday Practice: Part 1 Premium Member Content

Partial Extraction Therapy (PET) in Everyday Practice: Part 1
This presentation outlines the evidence-based, biological, esthetic and technical aspects of utilizing Partial Extraction Therapy (PET), such as Socket Shield technique, in everyday practice. Combining PET with Endoret® Graft, on immediate post extraction implant placement, seems to be an effective way to maintain anatomy, minimizing bone level's change after the bone remodeling period, and maximizing the aesthetic outcome, due to adequate soft tissue's levels and contour.

Partial Extraction Therapy (PET) in Everyday Practice: Part 2
This presentation describes new tools, including burs and new trans-mucosal abutments, which may enhance the clinician's ability to incorporate the Socket Shield technique into their practice. In addition, incorporating in-office CAD CAM technology, such as Zirkonzahn, makes it possible to design and fabricate same-day custom restorations including the ability, under special circumstances, to go directly to the final restoration.

Bio-Surgery; Tips for More Biological and Prosthodontic Approach Premium Member Content

Bio-Surgery; Tips for More Biological and Prosthodontic Approach
In oral rehabilitation, obtaining a good aesthetic outcome is no longer enough for our patients. It is imperative that these good results do prevail in time. The best way to achieve this goal, is to correctly diagnose each individual clinical case, and to choose Biological tools and Biological treatment techniques, that respect our own physiology and Nature. Through this lecture, the authors try to share a few Surgical and Prosthodontic Bio-tips in Implant Dentistry, that in a simple and predictable way, can lead us to a great long lasting aesthetic results.

Novel Surgical BioSealing & Original BioProfiling Techniques - Part 1 of 2
Biphosphonates Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw is one of the tragedies affecting our patients each time more often representing a new challenge in what we like to call human dentistry. This severe and unpredictable outcome can evolve from something as simple as a tooth extraction or simply an implant placement. In this presentation the authors display one of the first BRONJ cases in the world treated with the surgical biosealing technique using the PRGF ENDORET graft. Understanding the BIOlogy behind the healing process has been as much surprising as useful in trying to alleviate our patients pain and improve their quality of life. This video presents a novel technique to the post-extraction site based upon taking care of the overall tissue support from the bone level and we will discuss treatment planning, options and limitations with this technique/protocol.

Soft Tissue Management - The Pink Contribution to Achieving Esthetic and Long Lasting Smiles Premium Member Content

Soft Tissue Management - The Pink Contribution to Achieving Esthetic and Long Lasting Smiles
Today's patients expectations and demands, seek for high aesthetic an long-lasting treatments. For this reason, soft tissue management is often required to provide thick soft tissues around implants and natural teeth, therefore it must be carefully planned and integrated at the treatment plan. Being the palate our primary choice as soft tissue's donor area, in this lecture is also presented a simple and effective way to reduce patients morbidity after harvesting the palatal mucosa, the PRGF-ENDORET Graft.

"The Soft Block": Treating Severe Recessions Around Dental Implants - Part 1 of 2
Severe recessions around implants is a common issue. Filipe Lopes & Bernardo Mira Correa will try to present simple algorithms and biological ways for trying to solve this kind of clinical challenge, other than implant explantation that must be also, and so many times, considered as the first choice. This is intended to be the first of a series of posts on the subject. We will feature different soft tissue management strategies, including autologous grafts and alloderm. We will underline the importance of: diagnosis,PRGF ENDORET® graft, type of implant, grafting technique to use and allografts that can possibly help us on some challenging situations. At the end we will try to provide for a simpler treatment algorithm, that has been of good service for us, for some years now.

Papilla Management in a Severe Periodontal and Cosmetic Deformity: Combining Veneer into Full Graft (ViFG) and Veneer into Split Graft (ViSG) Premium Member Content

Papilla Management in a Severe Periodontal and Cosmetic Deformity: Combining Veneer into Full Graft (ViFG) and Veneer into Split Graft (ViSG)
Bone defects and periodontal disease can create challenging defects in the anterior area. When we have such severe defects as the one presented here, it´s essential to plan in advance and to be sure of what is possible to correct with bone grafting and with soft tissue management. The key question in this clinical case is to be able to place the soft tissue graft exactly where you want it to heal. In our clinical practice we use routinely PRGF ENDORET grafts, not only as vehicle for particulate graft transportation, but also as a biological enhancer of both osteointegration and soft tiss
