Soft Tissue Solutions to Bone Deficiencies; Minimally invasive Concepts Part 2
Soft Tissue minimally invasive procedures can often be utilized to reconstruct large defects in the anterior region rather than rebuild the site with Bone which would entail multiple procedures over several months and increase the morbidity for the patients as well as risk for the clinician.
This presentation highlights numerous soft tissue procedures that can augment large deficiencies in the esthetic zone as a preference over bone augmentation. Roll, pedicle grafts, and tuberosity tissues can be predictably utilized to maximize our results and limit time and risk for our patients.
Tooth replacement, implant failure restitution and immediate implant placement SVG grafting will be reviewed in detail.

The Critical Diagnostic & Tx Planning Aspects of Full Arch Implant Therapy
Full Arch Implant Dentistry has become a significant aspect of the modern dental practice.
Our ability to replace a failing or missing dentition immediately with dental implants and a functional restoration has improved the quality of life and overall health of our patients. These treatments have become increasingly popular as they reduce chairtime and maximize the cosmetic aspects.
With the abundance of cases, it is imperative that we avoid mistreatment or overtreatment.
This presentation describes a step by step diagnostic agenda to properly evaluate each patient utilizing a
full digital workflow including, CBCT, Intra-oral scans, full mouth radiographs and photos as well as clinical evaluation of soft tissues, bone and positional occlusion. The process of identifying and selecting the proper cases and designs for each individual situation will be thoroughly reviewed as well as to understand the limitations and possible complications that may arise.

"All on X" Therapies & The Digital Evolution
Full arch management has its challenges in itself not only from a surgical point of view but also under a prosthetic stand point. Diagnosis and treatment plan properly these cases play a pivotal role for the final successful outcome.
In fact, CBCT software analysis together with all the prosthetic evaluation in needed prior to the surgical day will be highlighted, bringing then the focus of the presentation specifically on the diagnostic, surgical, and prosthetic procedures that can improve the predictability of the overall procedure. Which implant geometries are to be used? Which is the rationale behind the choice of placing straight or tilted implants? How many implants are needed and where? Abutment selection? Space requirements? Material selection? Bone quality issues and how to best incorporate new digital software and planning tools.

The Great Debate on Soft Tissue Regeneration
Recession and soft tissue deficiencies are a significant challenge in restorative and implant dentistry. A variety of different approaches and techniques using minimally invasive flaps and micro-surgical instrumentation have been proposed in this session with some of the leading clinicians in the field. A conceptual debate format discussing the virtues of CTG, FGG, pedicle grafts, as well as vestibular approaches, growth factor mediated-ACDM and flap management as well as key suturing aspects were discussed.

Modern Implant Dentistry: Rules of Engagement in the Esthetic Zone - Part 2 of 2
This presentation will focus on the interdisciplinary relationship of the restorative dentist, periodontist and orthodontist to reconstruct the soft tissue foundation for all of these restorative options in anterior tooth replacement. The diagnosis of deficiencies as well as the varied treatment options will be discussed in detail. This includes periodontal crown lengthening, esthetic periodontal plastic soft tissue grafting procedures as well as prescription adjunctive orthodontic tooth movement to manipulate the soft tissue foundation prior to or subsequent with the restorative options of implants, bridges, or pontic replacement.

"The Great Debate" on Tooth Replacement
Bucco-palatal collapse of the post-extraction ridge is a significant challenge in restorative and implant dentistry. A variety of different approaches as well as ridge preservation techniques using tissue and augmentative materials have been proposed in this session with some of the leading clinical research teams in the field. A conceptual debate format discussing the virtues of "Early Placement" at 6 weeks (Buser & Belser Team) vs. "Immediate Placement with Dual Zone Protocols" at time of extraction (Chu & Tarnow Team) vs. "Partial Extraction Therapy" PET (Gluckman & Salama) also at the time of extraction is led by Professor Homa Zadeh of USC. This interactive session explores the current status and poses questions for the future use and indications of each proposed therapy.

Partial Extraction Therapy (PET) The Final Frontier
Buccopalatal collapse of the postextraction ridge is a significant challenge in restorative and implant dentistry. A variety of different approaches as well as ridge preservation techniques using tissue and augmentative materials have been proposed in the literature. A slightly different approach, "PET" is to use the tooth itself by purposely maintaining all or a portion of the root in the remaining socket. Root submergence has been reported in the literature for more than 4 decades, and it has been demonstrated that the submerged tooth root retains the periodontal tissues and preserves the bone in pontic sites or below dentures to retain the ridge. The socket-shield technique entails preparing a tooth root section to remain behind on the labial aspect simultaneous to immediate implant placement and has demonstrated histologic and clinical results that are highly promising to esthetic implant treatment.

Site Preparation & Osseodensification in Bone Management
Today's implant arena involves not only the understanding of procedures but also the science behind wound healing.
Often new technologies and instrumentation evolves that have a significant impact on what we are able to do clinically. Piezosurgical devices, periotomes, osteotomes, hydraulic sinus devices, neurosurgical drills, and the "PET" (Partial Extraction Therapies) system are just a short list of those that have made surgery more efficient and less traumatic for our patients. Osseodensification is another concept that can be added to this long list. This lecture will speak about new age bone management concepts and how these technologies may be able to assist us. Potential issues and focus on use will be touched upon as well.

Emerging Perspectives in Soft Tissue Augmentation: Evolving Tools, Techniques & Materials
Soft tissue root coverage microsurgery and pontic site enhancement are frequently utilized periodontal plastic surgery techniques to create an ideal restorative frame for teeth, pontics and implants.
Tunnel, Semilunar, VISTA etc. are among the new age techniques highlighted in this growing area of periodontal microsurgery. New autologous tissue harvest techniques, Allograft ACDM and Bioactive Modifiers have all changed the way we are capable of managing soft tissue deficiencies and have assisted the clinician in improving the healing qualities of these minimally invasive techniques.
This lecture will cover site preparation techniques for conventional dentistry as well as prior to and after implant placement.

Managing Esthetic Implant Complications
Dental implant success today is judged not only by osseointegration but also by bone, tissue stability and of course long term esthetic results. Cosmetic predictability can often be difficult to attain, and esthetic implant failures can be multifactorial and patient management issues. Once esthetic implant failures occur, many cannot be fully corrected. Some complications must be addressed by an interdisciplinary dental team. In this summary of case reports, surgical considerations are provided, including cases of facial asymmetry/recession due to facial implant placement or bone loss resulting from technique/treatment failures, as well as papillary deficiencies. Restorative considerations for correcting failures are also discussed.

Minimally Invasive Tooth Replacement Strategies in the Esthetic Zone: The Evolution of New Age Concepts
Modern Tooth Replacement Strategies are more concerned about esthetics than ever before especially in light of recent research that clearly defines the risk of resorption, ridge constriction, tissue recession and color changes that often occur following extraction and implant replacement. This presentation will describe the Dual Zone concepts recently published to address these issues as well partial extraction therapies which may play an expanding and more critical role in the future.
