Summary:
The case series evaluated the peri-implant tissue response following extraction and immediate placement and restoration of an implant in conjunction with subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG) and bone grafting in the esthetic zone. Implant success rates and the peri-implant tissue response were also reported. The results of this case series suggest that, in addition to a favorable implant success rate and peri-implant tissue response, the facial gingival level around single immediately placed implants can also be maintained following connective tissue grafting when proper three-dimensional implant positioning is achieved and bone is grafted into the implant-socket gap.

Alveolar Ridge Preservation and Reconstruction
Periodontal plastic surgery procedures designed to reconstruct deformed, partially edentulous residual ridges were introduced to the dental profession between 1971 and 1986. They have been revised and refined to their current state of development, where they now occupy a major place in the reconstructive armamentarium. Before these concepts were developed, it was generally believed that it was impossible to surgically reconstruct deformities in the partially edentulous ridge. Deformities were filled…

Peri-implantitis: Management and Preventative Strategies
This presentation reviews the definition, diagnosis and some current treatment modalities of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis today. We will discuss protocols that should be implemented into your office to help establish an early diagnosis of the hard and soft tissue as well as treatment options, preventative strategies, risk management and maintenance to limit future errors.

Improving Interdental Papillae in Implant Therapy. Perio-Prosthetic Approach
These days the demand for aesthetic treatment is constantly increasing. The relationship between the pink in white components of the smile play very important role for the overall aesthetic appearance. In this lecture we will focus on the importance and the impact of the interproximal tissues. The main process will be discussed and techniques to overcome the problems will be introduced.

Tissue Engineering and Platelet Derived Growth Factors: Evidence Based Therapy
Platelet derived growth factors are now routinely utilized in reconstructive therapy. This presentation describes very detailed and evidence based guidelines for clinicians interested in enhancing their abilities in tissue engineering, especially as it relates to bone augmentation. Specifically, while successful bone augmentation requires the standard surgical parameters of space maintenance, low pressure on the grafts and tension-free flap closure, optimization of this goal requires management and enhancement of the local biological conditions with growth factors. Towards that end, platelet concentrates through the constant release of growth factors are able to promote and enhance new vascularization, provide plasma protein, normal lipidemia, as well as increased collagen and fibrin activity.

Advanced Immediate Implant Placement Strategies Including the Socket Shield (SS) Technique and its Complications
Immediate implant placement in the aesthetic zone has become a controversial topic with regards to the long term aesthetic demands that both the profession and our patients have placed on this treatment modality. Since the controversy broke a few years ago there have been a number of outstanding developments that have revolutionized the way we do immediate implant placement. Soft tissue augmentations using the tunnel technique as well as the socket whiled technique are 2 of these techniques which form the baseline of treatment in our clinic. This lecture will go through all the updated protocols of immediate implant placement supported by the literature as well as deal specifically with the finer details of the socket whiled technique including step by step photos and video of the technique. More importantly it will cover numerous complications that we have had to deal with over the last few years that we have been doing this technique.
