Course Overview
During this course the participants will review the USDI course evaluation protocol. The importance of gathering all the necessary information from each patient in order to accurately diagnose and treatment plan each case will be discussed. This information will enable the Clinician to select the appropriate cases to treat based on experience level. Tooth movement responsible for bite opening, and how to avoid these unwanted effects, will be presented. Interproximal Reduction (IPR) will be introduced and why this technique is important in clear Aligner treatment. The force vectors behind attachments will also be discussed.
Course Objectives
1. Complete the USDI Case Evaluation Form.
2. Identify tooth movements that cause open bites.
3. Perform IPR efficiently and in the appropriate instances.
4. Recognize the importance of using attachments with clear Aligner treatment and how force is generated on each tooth.
