Course Overview
During this course the Participant will learn the steps for efficient and effective bonding of Orthodontic brackets and bands. Achieving a low rate of bond failure should be a clinician’s priority in order to maintain practice efficiency when incorporating Orthodontics. The classification of different adhesive materials will be explained as well as how to light cure Orthodontic adhesives. Trouble shooting bracket bonding failures and how to avoid them will also be discussed.
Course Objectives
1. Bond Orthodontic brackets and bands effectively.
2. Identify the appropriate Orthodontic adhesive to use for both enamel and porcelain.
3. Identify the reason for bracket bond failure and implement a solution.
4. Place spacers, size and cement molar bands.
