Course Overview
This course will introduce the protocols for finishing Orthodontic cases efficiently. The goals for finishing includes; the improvement of aesthetics, occlusion and function, perio health and root alignment. The pre-finishing checklist will be reviewed and the importance of completing this form with the patient and/or parents will be discussed. The different types of wire bends and elastic wear that are used during the finishing process will be explained and demonstrated.
Course Objectives
1. Identify which retainer to use for each type of malocclusion.
2. Set-up a pre finishing checklist to review with patients before the debonding process.
3. Resolve minor midline and open bite correction during the finishing process.
