Course Overview
The course will demonstrate why an understanding of growth and development is essential for accurate diagnosis, treatment planning and long-term Orthodontic success. Bjork’s interpretation of growth and development will be reviewed in detail as well as some basic Orthodontic history. Vertical challenges with be discussed as well as possible treatment options. The USDI’s 10 factors for diagnosis and treatment planning will be presented.
Course Objectives
1. Recognize the importance of vertical control during Orthodontic treatment.
2. Select the appropriate cases to treat related to vertical dimension challenges.
3. Identify how growth and development can impact the accurate diagnosis of Orthodontic cases.
