Course Overview
This module includes a detailed evaluation of the importance of cephalometric analysis related to accurate Orthodontic diagnosis. A brief history of cephalometrics, the structures of the skull and important landmarks will also be discussed. Key measurements that can be used to support growth predictions and provide additional essential diagnostic information will be presented.
Course Objectives
1. Define the importance of completing a cephalometric analysis during the diagnostic stage of Orthodontic treatment.
2. Describe basic Orthodontic cephalometric classifications and definitions.
3. Identify basic cephalometric points, landmarks, and measurements.
