Course Overview
During this course the importance of proper Orthodontic records will be discussed. How these records are compiled with be defined in detail. Accurate records are essential when diagnosing and then developing an appropriate treatment plan for all Orthodontic cases. The importance of post treatment records to evaluate if the patient’s chief complaint was addressed, and for medical and legal reasons, will be explained. Intra and extra oral dental photography, as well as basic digital photo editing will be reviewed.
Course Objectives
1. To define which records are required for each type of Orthodontic case.
2. To take intra-oral and extra-oral Orthodontic photographs and place them in the appropriate diagnostic template.
3. To perform an initial Orthodontic visit and what information is required from patients during this first consultation.
