Course Overview
In November 2020, Oregon legalized the use of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and micro-dosing of LSD. Marijuana use is legal in 25 states and counting. With the rapid increase of state laws allowing certain recreational drug use as well as the ongoing use of illegal substances, the dental team providing safe and effective sedation must have a working knowledge of the medications their patients are taking, with or without medical supervision. This timely and informative program will review some of the most common recreational drugs – from alcohol to LSD – and their impact on delivering sedation dentistry. A Q&A session from the original recording follows for additional insights.
