Video:
Horizontal & Vertical Bone Augmentation Using the Khoury Bone Plate Technique
Video Overview
The Khoury Bone Plate Technique is a predictable surgical method to graft alveolar ridge defects in both the horizontal and vertical dimensions. This technique involves harvesting cortical plates from the ramus of the mandible and fixating these bone plates to the ridge defect using screws. Scrapings of cancellous and cortical autogenous bone are then interposed between the plates in a “Sandwich” technique allowing for a 3-dimensional augmentation of the ridge defect.
