Course Overview
Digital dentistry is rapidly transforming how clinicians diagnose, plan, and deliver implant care. By integrating intraoral scanning, facial scanning with jaw tracking, CBCT imaging, and 3D printing, clinicians can construct a comprehensive digital representation of the patient—the Dental Avatar. This unified ecosystem aligns esthetics, function, and anatomy, forming the foundation for prosthetically driven treatment planning and execution. The presentation examines how this workflow, including intraoral photogrammetry (IPG), enhances data accuracy and supports efficient same-day fabrication of provisional restorations, while also streamlining pathways toward definitive full-arch implant solutions.
Course Objectives
1. Define the concept of the “Dental Avatar” and its clinical relevance
2. Integrate CBCT, intraoral and facial scans into a unified workflow
3. Understand how IPG enhances implant capture and soft tissue accuracy
4. Evaluate 3D-printed guide applications for full-arch implant placement
5. Review digital workflows for immediate temporization and finalization of metal-free restoration
