Video:
Implant Placement into a Horizontal Ridge Defect in the Posterior Maxilla
Video Overview
This video will highlight the placement of an implant in a Type 2 Horizontal Deficiency in the posterior maxilla. Implant placement is performed towards the palatal wall for stabilization leaving behind a small labial dehiscence of the implant into the ridge concavity. A New CTi Titanium mesh from Neobiotech is utilized in combination with implant placement to allow for easy and maintainable space for particulate bone and PRGF. This technique uses the implant and cover caps to stabilize the titanium mesh without additional fixation screws. Split thickness disection and tension free closure is also highlighted for optimal healing.
