Video:
Thinking Outside the Box in Sinus Augmentation- From Conventional to Minimal Invasive Approach
Video Overview
Dental Implants placement in the posterior maxilla combined with sinus augmentation had become an optimal solution for replacing missing teeth. Bone resorption sometimes makes implant placement in this region a difficult task demanding advanced surgical regenerative procedures. Two main approaches are reported to achieve this goal: the crestal approach which is mainly used when there is a sufficient vertical bone height(5-6mm) or the lateral window approach used in cases of minimal crestal bone height.
The lecture will focus on the concept of "thinking outside the box" in sinus augmentation, showing unconventional minimal invasive surgical manipulations which allows the clinician to reach the ultimate goal- bringing the patient the function and esthetics with his teeth even in cases with minimal crestal bone height, using autologous growth factors and minimal invasive anthral membrane balloon elevation.
