Course Description
Aesthetic challenges in single and multiple implant placement in the aesthetic zone are primarily dimensional and prosthetic in nature, driven by post-extraction loss of periodontal ligament vitality and collapse of the buccal–palatal architecture. The Shield Aesthetics™ Concept introduces a digitally engineered, preservation-based approach to Partial Extraction Therapy that integrates surgical precision with prosthetic control. The transmucosal envelope is digitally designed and refined to support stable peri-implant architecture. AI-assisted CBCT segmentation is utilized to verify shield geometry and position, optimize implant–shield relationships, minimize complications, and enhance clinical outcomes. This workflow can be predictably scaled from single-tooth therapy to full-arch rehabilitation. This lecture outlines the biologic rationale, geometric parameters, and digital verification strategies that define the Shield Aesthetics™ Concept.
