Dr. Joseph D. Mazzola graduated from Regis University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He was admitted to Loyola University, School of Dentistry, Maywood, Illinois, in 1979. Finishing the work necessary for graduation from Loyola six months early, Dr. Mazzola chose to do additional work in both periodontics and oral surgery specialties. Following graduation from Loyola in 1983, Dr. Mazzola began general practice dentistry in Broomfield Colorado.
He immediately began study of temporalmandibular disorders and occlusion, observing the link to periodontal disease. Over the years, Dr. Mazzola continued his education by taking courses in areas of interest. He completed the course work recognized by the Academy of General Dentistry and, following examinations and graded teaching, he was awarded a Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry. This award has been granted to less than 3,000 dentists worldwide.
Dr. Mazzola has been placing and restoring dental implants for the past ninteen years. He uses IPS E-Max CAD Materials as his main restorative on single tooth implant restorations.
