Dr. Luciano Retana completed his undergraduate studies at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica where he received his DDS degree in 2005. He obtained his specialty in Prosthodontics with emphasis in dental implants from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2008, where he worked as clinical assistant instructor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics.
In 2012 he completed the advanced education program for international dentists CCAD in Implantology at New York University. He maintains a full-time private practice focusing on comprehensive restorative and implant dentistry. He has lectured nationally and internationally on Immediate Loading, Computer Guided surgery, Implants in the Esthetic Zone, Guided Bone Regeneration and Occlusion.
