Dr. Doñas was born in Santiago, Chile in 1978. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Chile becoming a dental surgeon in 2001. Since his early beginnings, he started his training in oral rehabilitation and implantology field. He became a teacher in fixed prosthetics at the University of Chile just after obtaining his dental surgeon degree. He has also been a teacher in the restorative dentistry and pathology fields.

In 2004 he had the opportunity to further broaden his scientific horizons through a master degree program in France. He got a Master in Sciences, health and applications degree, with a specialty in biology, physiology and pathology, mention in osteoarticular and craniofacial biology, biomaterials and bio functionality at University Paris 5, René Descartes, France. He also attended some prosthetic programs and became a teacher of fixed prosthetics as well.

He returned to Chile in 2006 and became a part of different interdisciplinary teams; always in the field of oral rehabilitation, but with a strong focus on working along with maxillofacial surgeons and orthodontists in oral reconstruction. Since 2007 he became part of Oral Cancer and facial reconstruction teams associated with the public hospitals network.

Dr. Doñas is a member of the Chilean Society of Prosthetics and Oral Rehabilitation. He is also a speaker and trainer for Biohorizons and DMG (Germany). He lectures in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese and is co-author of the book “Atlas y Manual de Preclínico para Prótesis Fija” and publications. Dr. Doñas enjoys music and started studying it when he was 4, nowadays he still sings and plays professionally.
