Dr. Silvia La Rosa received her dental degree from CES University in Medellin, Colombia and her post-graduate degree in periodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Her professional memberships include:
- The American Academy of Periodontology
- American Board of Periodontology
- The Academy of Osseointegration
- The Washington State Dental Association

She served as president of the Pierce County Dental Society from 2016 -2017 where she was member of the board of trustees and then an executive member participating in multiple committees. Currently she serves as a member of the board of trustees for the Pierce County Dental Foundation.

Silvia has incorporated dynamic surgical navigation in her practice since August of 2017. Always striving to better serve her patient’s and improve clinical outcomes she has been very instrumental in providing feedback to ClaroNav to enhance the technology.

Dr. Silvia La Rosa is in private practice with Dr. Manuel La Rosa, both in Tacoma and Gig Harbor. Together they combine and treat all aspects of Periodontal, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, dental implants, pathology and aesthetics, as well as all aspects of surgical dentistry and anesthesia.
