Course Description:

A teaching course of four lectures with multiple choice questions designed to enhance the clinicians' knowledge, approach to, planning, and techniques in relation to esthetic dentistry.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn better understanding of esthetic diagnosis, treatment planning, and shade taking in cosmetic dentistry.
  • Learn three-dimentional vision skills that can be utilized in esthetic restorative therapy to enhance results.
  • Learn to utilize the concept of Layered Esthetic Treatment Planning in smile design.
  • Learn how to integrate gingival form and tooth form to enhance esthetic display.
  • Learn techniques for proper mounting of models on an articulator to prepare for a diagnostic wax-up.

1 Developing The Esthetic Eye - The Art of Team Treatment
This lecture presentation by Dr. Larry Rifkin describes the key elements that all clinicians require to develop the esthetic practitioner within us. Specific methods to design dental beauty, transfer it to an articulator and communication are also discussed. An exceptionally motivating lecture for all.
2 White Esthetics
Professor Nitzan Bichacho shows us two cases with focus on the white part of the smile.
3 Color Selection
Nicola Pietroban discusses the process of effective shade selection and dentist / technician communication to arrive at an esthetically acceptable restoration
4 Phasing Esthetic Treatment
A lecture featuring the beginning steps in treating a patient with multiple facial asymmetries in order to achieve an esthetic success while working with numerous issues, including financial limitations.
