looks like a great course, The next one is in December 2013, right ? I have done implant courses and observed a lot of cases but haven't placed any implant myself, would this course be suitable for me to practice under supervision and How many surgeries does every student doctor perform on average?
Thank you

Maurice Salama - (2/15/2013 10:24 AM)
Student Doctors perform ALL the surgeries themselves with doctor monitoring throughout. All cases have models, radiographs and CBCT performed to allow for diagnostic and planning interactions. All instruments, regenerative materials are provided. Done with the supervision and approval of DentalXP, Dr. Salama and the Metropolitan University in Santos, Brazil in cooperation with the Periodontal and Prosthetic Departments and faculty. Really a unique experience. Only 18 attendees. Dr. Salama

CBCT Planning and Guided Implant Surgery - Surgical and Restorative State-of-the-Art
Implant treatment is one of the most exciting areas of dental therapy. Within the last 30 years, we have been able to develop and discover new techniques, instruments, software and equipment that have made this therapy more secure and predictable, such as the CBCT and the guided surgery, today with the guided systems we are able to have our implants “in the right” place considering the bone, the prosthesis, the biomechanics and the esthetic…this lecture will show you step by step how to reach awesome results in complex full arch cases in a secure and simple way even with immediate extraction and immediate implant placement.

NEW PRGF-Endoret Protocol (Platelet Rich in Growth Factors)
PRGF®-Endoret Technology is based on the activation of the patient's own platelets for the stimulation and acceleration of tissue healing and regeneration. It is a technology that allows the use of the organism's own resources with extraordinary results in many pathologies, effectively regenerating tissues without side effects and notably reducing the recovery period of fractures, muscular and tendinous injuries, and surgical interventions. Dr. Maurice Salama’s assistant, Charlene Bennett, will elaborate in detail describing the step-by step PRGF preparation and how it can be utilized clinically.

The Interdisciplinary Software Platform. The Key For Modern Digital Dentistry
The starting point of a facially driven interdisciplinary dental treatment plan is "The Smile Frame". A few crucial photos and steps will come together to create the ultimate template you need to communicate to your dental team, colleagues, and the patient to ultimately increase case acceptance and create the most aesthetic and functional method of rehabilitation to your patient. We will discuss how this paradigm shift of regular analog dentistry has shifted to this modern digital world and the benefits it provides.
The protocol proposed will improve the diagnosis, communication and predictability of esthetic rehabilitation, from simple implant or restorative cases to complex cases, combining perio, ortho, and othognathic surgery. Emphasis will be given to the utilization of digital tools to enhance and facilitate the Dentist/Technician interaction and communication with the patient.

Mastering Surgical Principles: Key to Constant Success
Clinical success depends on material and technique selection, but no material or technique will succeed if surgical principles are not respected. Attention to detail is imperative and mastering surgical principles is key to constant success. This course aims to review principles of flap design and elevation, as well as degranulation, debridement, suturing and wound stabilization of the most commonly performed periodontal, implant and advanced bone grafting procedures. Pharmacologic protocols and anesthesia will also be discussed.

Barriers in the Surgical Suite: Standards Required
