Adhesive Dentistry: From Direct to Indirect Restorations

Description:
Restorative dentistry has changed in recent years. New materials and techniques allow the execution of partial restorations, direct and indirect, with metal-free techniques and started a true partnership between this discipline and prosthodontics. A good esthetic and functional rehabilitation starts from the proper clinical evaluation of the patient and of his problems, planning all the clinical and laboratory procedures in order to reduce the possibility of performing a subpar restoration. It is very important to have a synergy between the clinician, the dental technician and the patient and to make the right use of the protocols and a flow chart to address all patient needs. The goal is to achieve the right balance between biology, esthetic and function by applying a minimally invasive approach.

A few questions sorry! What was the white instrument used on the composite onlay, did it vibrate? What was the "dual composite" is it dual cure composite resin cement? What was the warming composite, what brand and shade? Great lecture thank you! D

Great lecture and great work. It would be helpful to speak of details that could help the novice dentist. For example when applying adhesive or flowable, I wanted to know details of why do we use flowable, how thick a layer and where. Thank you!

The Centripetal Build-Up for Composite Resin Posterior Restorations
This paper introduces a new technique for creating Class II posterior composite restorations - the centripetal build-up. This technique replaces the lost tooth structure from the periphery towards the center of the cavity, thereby achieving better marginal adaptation to the gingival floor. Since overfilling is rare, rotary finishing is minimized. This method allows the creation of long-term aesthetic posterior composite restorations, while utilizing conventional auxiliary (ie, metal matrix bands…
