Adhesive Dentistry: From Direct to Indirect Restorations
Description:
Restorative dentistry has changed in recent years. New materials and techniques allow the execution of partial restorations, direct and indirect, with metal-free techniques and started a true partnership between this discipline and prosthodontics.
A good esthetic and functional rehabilitation starts from the proper clinical evaluation of the patient and of his problems, planning all the clinical and laboratory procedures in order to reduce the possibility of performing a subpar restoration.
It is very important to have a synergy between the clinician, the dental technician and the patient and to make the right use of the protocols and a flow chart to address all patient needs. The goal is to achieve the right balance between biology, esthetic and function by applying a minimally invasive approach.

Thank you for the presentation. Is there any research regarding etching and 6th generations bonding systems vs 4th generation?
Thanks

A few questions sorry!
What was the white instrument used on the composite onlay, did it vibrate?
What was the "dual composite" is it dual cure composite resin cement?
What was the warming composite, what brand and shade?
Great lecture thank you!

Great lecture and great work. It would be helpful to speak of details that could help the novice dentist.
For example when applying adhesive or flowable, I wanted to know details of why do we use flowable, how thick a layer and where. Thank you!

Crown Lengthening & Esthetic Upgrades Using M.Vision Digital Workflow
During last 10 years dentistry changed a lot. Practices around the world implement digital technologies in everyday practice. Modern digital approach in M.Vision clinic during smile makeover will be demonstrated step y step. You will see 3D planning stage, crown lengthening procedure, transfer of mock-up, preparation with microscope, intra oral scanning procedures, lab steps, isolation and bonding procedures. Also we will raise a discussion of new technologies (scanners, milling machines, 3D printers) possibilities.

Innovative Sequencing for Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Treatment
Smile enhancement therapy has become an important facet of the everyday aesthetic practice. Aesthetic evaluation utilizing facial aesthetic design to diagnose tooth position demands effective communication between the periodontal-restorative team.
This presentation will review innovative sequencing techniques for interdisciplinary cases which require aesthetic crown lengthening for the treatment of excessive gingival display, and for gingival augmentation for root coverage, and the correction of poor gingival quality. Immediate implant placement with immediate non–loaded provisional fabrication will also be reviewed.

Fatigue Resistance and Crack Propensity of Novel "Super-Closed" Sandwich Composite Resin Restorations in Large MOD Defects
To asses the influence of conventional glass ionomer cement (GIC) vs resin-modified GIC (RMGIC) as a base material for novel, super-closed sandwich restorations (SCSR) and its effect on shrinkage-induced crack propensity and in vitro accelerated fatigue resistance. A standard MOD slot-type tooth preparation was applied to 30 extracted maxillary molars. A modified sandwich restoration was used, in which the enamel/dentin bonding agent was applied first, followed by a Ketac Molar or Fuji II LC base, leaving 2mm for composite resin material. Shrinkage induced enamel cracks were tracked with photography and transillumination. Samples were loaded until fracture or to a maximum of 185,000 cycles under isometric chewing, starting with a load of 200 N and gradually up to a maximum of 30,000 each...

Updating Classifications of Ceramic Dental Materials
The indications for and composition of today’s dental ceramic materials serve as the basis
for determining the appropriate class of ceramics to use for a given case. By understanding
the classifications, composition, and characteristics of the latest all-ceramic materials,
which are presented in this article in order of most to least conservative, dentists and
laboratory technicians can best determine the ideal material for a given treatment.
